We’re proud of our friends Mike Stoner and Frank Jackson for their work being highlighted on the front page of the News Tribune today. Mike and Frank went out yesterday to see if they could bring anybody in from the cold- they’ll be heading out again today- and the News Tribune followed along. Frank and Mike, thank you so much for doing that. It makes me so happy to know we are doing outreach. It is so sad about the man not responding to your love, but I am so glad you tried to help.
Thank you Frank and Mike. What a valiant outreach!! We are doing everything we can as well at the Family Shelter. We have cots with fluffy bedding that are nuzzled up around a beautifully decorated and lite Christmas tree. It is like a fun slummber party for the women in that room, and they are so thankful. In many cases, we are leaving the cots up and allowing them to stay the day since it is so very cold out with the wind cill factor. What a blessing! And yes there are a couple of others who were offered a safe warm bed on a carpeted floor…who refused our help. That makes me sad…but there again…we help those who will embrace our help. This is quite a winter….and it is just beginning!
