We have had such a great response to our need for food this year, and we are thankful for everyone who “stepped up to the plate” and made sure that everyone can have a great Thanksgiving meal. Here is a link to a Wed. 26th blog entry in the Tribune on two such donors: http://blogs.thenewstribune.com/street/2008/11/26/turkey_ladies_return_with_food_for_the_t

November 26th, 2008Happy Thanksgiving, special thanks to everyone
November 25th, 2008We have so much to be thankful for at the Tacoma Rescue Mission. I am thankful for the great people that are part of the team here at TRM, it is a joy working with you every day. I’m also thankful for the men and women of our board who volunteer their time and energy to help guide the strategic vision. I’m thankful for the generous people who give each month of their own resources to make sure others are fed, warm and safe on Thanksgiving – and every other day. Most of all, I am thankful to God for providing all that we need and more than we deserve. Happy Thanksgiving. David
TRM on King 5
November 19th, 2008Our turkey drive has gained the attention of King 5 television and they paid a visit to the New Life Square to talk with us about how they can help. Frank Jackson, our Emergency Services Director, had an on camera interview that should be featured this evening. I’m not sure which program it will be on, it may be on all of them, but if you are interested tune in beginning at 5pm. Thanks to Eric Wilkenson and his cameraman Jerry for highlighting the story.http://www.king5.com/localnews/stories/NW_111908WAB_food_bank_need_SW.1cbd1b37d.html David
