My wife Kathleen and I had a chance to visit Hanley Barker, retired director of the Tacoma Rescue Mission and his wife Evelyn, at their home in Eugene, Oregon last week. Hanley preceded Joe Ellis as director and has been retired for nearly 30 years, but still keeps the Mission in his prayers and has many friends here in Tacoma. They did so many great things for the Mission while serving as Director. Please feel free to attach any comments, I’ll make sure they are passed along. DC

THis is great hope you had a great time with him.
Hanley Barker was director of The Tacoma Rescue Mission when I began attending Glen Ash’s Wednesday Morning Prayer Breakfast at the old Branding Iron Cafe’ on Pacific Ave.
Glen loves Hanley and we always remembered him in our prayers on Wednesday Mornings. The Wednesday morning prayer breakfast is still meeting (Now at the Tacoma Elks on Union Ave) and every now and then some asks about Hanley Barker. So please let him know we remember him for all of his great works for the Lord at TRM!!
